What a day!! As you can see The Frugal Fashionista had a makeover!! My good friend Kamila at KIS Design Boutique designed a new logo for my blog and I uploaded a new theme from A Prettier Web. On Saturday Kamila and I spent hours getting the site juuusssttt right. It was perfect. All I had to do this morning was install some of the plugins that came with the theme and I was good to go.
Unfortunately, things don’t always work out the way you want them to. I unintentionally downloaded the demo version this morning which then altered my layout by reverting everything back to the demo model! It also published 8 (!!) dummy blog posts to all of my email subscribers!! Yikes!! I am SO sorry for filling up your inbox this morning!!
Of course since “new” posts were published there were also new notifications sent to my Facebook page, twitter and google+ accounts. So more feeds were filled up with dummy content š I had a LOT of deleting to do today! I wanted to announce my new blog design but this was not exactly the way that I had intended!
After a panicked phone call to Kamila and another hour of our time, we finally got things back to where they should be. If you notice anything a little odd, please send me an email so I can fix it.
The New Logo
Kamila created for me a new icon as well as a logo for my blog and business cards. I love them so much!!! The character is similar to the photo that I had been using as my profile pic on all of my blog social media channels. I wanted something that would connect back to that image and I think that she did a really good job at creating that.
There are a few tweaks that still need to happen before the blog is completely perfect but that should all get sorted out over the next few days as I get more familiar with the new theme. I’m really happy with the way that it looks now! š
