It’s hard to believe that December is here and that there are only a few weeks left before Christmas! EEK!! Where has the time gone?
As you know, I like to plan things out, and Sundays are a great time to jumpstart your week. Follow these 10 tips to help start your week off right.
10 things to do on Sunday to Jumpstart your week
- Rest: the weekend is your time to relax, revive and rejuvenate for the busy work week. Take steps to spend one full day away from all work related tasks. It’s surprising to learn that taking a break can actually make us more productive!
- Stick to your schedule: Waking up at the same time every day keeps your body clock running smoothly. Which means that come Monday morning dragging your butt out of bed won’t be such a challenge!
- Go over your list of goals: Reviewing your long term goals helps you to stay on track. Plus, this way you can schedule small actionable steps to take each week to stay on task.
- Decide what’s most important: Keep your priorities straight by deciding what’s important. Focus on these items first and cross off some things on your to-do list
- Reflect on the week: Look back and figure out what worked and what didn’t. Also pay attention to the things that made you smile and laugh. This is a small exercise that can help you to start to build awareness by incorporating a mindful attitude into your life. [emaillocker id=5071][/emaillocker]
- Celebrate: Pay attention to all of the ways that you have worked towards accomplishing your goals. Recognize and celebrate all of your achievements both big and small. This will help you to stay motivated and on task. Besides, what’s the point of achieving your goals if you aren’t going to celebrate them??
- Reconnect with those who matter: The people in our lives and our relationships are what really matters. These relationships are what are actually going to keep us happy and the weekend is a great time to reconnect
- Meal prep: Sunday evening is the time I spend prepping my meals for the week. It really makes all the difference!! This way when I come home I don’t have to worry about what I am going to eat.
- Plan what you’ll wear: There is nothing worse than having a big meeting or something special planned and having nothing to wear – and an overflowing hamper!! Take a look through you calendar and make sure you have everything you need for the week ready to go.
- Organize your work space: When I am working I tend to spread my stuff out. There are papers, books and pens everywhere. It looks like my mind has exploded all over my desk!! Organize and sorting things out is also a great way to calm the mind and create some control.
