As someone who is Irish, I will admit that I am a little biased. That being said I do think that if you get the chance you should visit Ireland. There are a lot of reasons why, but for the sake of this post, I’ll focus on 5.
The 5 reasons you should visit Ireland
The Castles.
I know I’ve mentioned it before but I love castles!! They are just so beautiful! There definitely isn’t a shortage of castles in Ireland. On my last trip I visited Dublin castle as well as Ashford Castle. Both were stunning to see. There are several more castles that you can visit throughout Ireland. There are even several old abandoned ones that are starting to fall apart.
The Landscape.
Ireland is known for it’s fields of green for a good reason. Growing up in Toronto, there isn’t a lot of green space. If you ever happen to find some empty land, it’s either not green or it’s about to be dug up to put in some new property. Most likely a condo since it seems like there is one going up every few minutes. That’s why it’s so refreshing to visit a country like Ireland. When talking about the landscape I have to mention once again the amazing Dark Hedges. I am definitely planning on going back one day when I am not on a tour and I can take as long as I want there.
The Scenic Sights.
Speaking of amazing sights, the Giant’s Causeway is definitely a must see. It’s a long trip because of how much stuff is here but it is worth it. I’ve gone to the Giant’s Causeway on my last two trips to Ireland and I’ve enjoyed it both times.
The Farm life.
You can’t visit Ireland and not spend some time on a farm. I mean, when you think of Ireland you think of three things: green fields, castles and cows!! Farms are a big part of the Irish lifestyle. I was lucky growing up to get to visit my Granny on her farm while she was still alive. Riding a tractor and watching the cows being milked are two experiences that I will always cherish.
The Coast.
On this trip I didn’t get a chance to spend time at the coast so this is something on my list for next time. I have in the past gone to the Cliffs of Mohr but unfortunately there wasn’t enough time on this trip. I was there for two weeks but it still wasn’t enough.
There is so much to see and do in Ireland that it is definitely worth a visit. I know that a lot of people have placed in on there bucket list of places to visit and once you go there you can see why. These are my reasons for why I think you should visit Ireland, what are you reasons for wanting to go? Let me know in the comments below.

This is definitely a bucket list travel spot for me. I’ve always admired the greenery on tv and in photos. The castles would be a treat to see as well.
