These days, it seems like everyday is a celebration of something. Be it #NationalHotDogDay or #NationalIceCreamDay, everything has its own day of celebration. August 9th was #NationalBookLoversDay and it’s the first one of these days that I “celebrated”.
I love to read. Ever since I was a child I was always found with a book in my hand. I often wouldn’t leave the house without a book. In fact, I was the kid who would read a book outside at recess, or hidden under my desk during lessons. Yup, I was that kind of nerd š
My love of reading continued as I got older. I think that there is nothing worse than being interrupted when you are reading a good book. I have spent way too many nights up late reading a book until it was finished #noregrets.
Right now I am re-reading a classic and a favourite – Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird. I first read this book in high school and we also watched the movie with Gregory Peck. I often find that the movie version doesn’t do the book justice but this was not one of those times. I highly recommend both the book and the movie.
Are you currently reading something? I am always on the lookout for book recommendations. Please leave any suggestions in the comments below.
Thanks for reading!!
