Outfit Post – Floral Skirt

It’s almost Christmas!! I have this outfit post and one more going up tomorrow and then I am taking a few days off to celebrate with my family!! I still have so much to do to get ready – I haven’t even started my wrapping yet! EEK!!

For this outfit post, I decided to go with a look that is different from your typical holiday look. No red, very little green and lots of bright colours and flowers!

This floral midi skirt is from SheIn (sold out), I bought it at the beginning of the year and I love it! It’s one of the first items I bought from SheIn and it is definitely one of my favourites. I paired it today with a light weight pale blue knit sweater from Dynamite. This sweater is so soft! To up the glam factor I went with this gold and pearl statement necklace that I also got from Dynamite. I’ve found that Dynamite has some of the best statement necklaces – they have a huge variety and at a great price! I have so many necklaces from there!

When the midi skirt trend first came around, I admit, I was a little hesitant to try it out. The full skirt seemed a little 1950s housewife to me but I kept seeing them and they looked so pretty I had to test it out. During my accident recovery, especially at the time that I bought this skirt, I wasn’t going out much. Unless it was to a hospital appointment or mass, I didn’t go anywhere, so a skirt like this seemed like a waste. What’s the point of having something so pretty to just sit in my closet? Or that is only worn around the house? But they say to dress for the job (or life) you want, not the one you have. So I bought the skirt. As my recovery has progressed I am now starting to get out more and so the skirt is finally getting worn!

Thanks for reading!
