Frugal Fashion Hacks

      I decided to start a new feature on the blog where I talk about frugal (read cheap ;)) ways to add style to your outfits. First up, I am going to talk about adding a belt to your coat.

I picked up this gorgeous white coat from my local Salvation Army. The coat is from Zara but because the zipper is broken it had been donated. Now, I am pretty handy with a needle and thread but a new zipper is outside of my wheelhouse. So, I improvised. I grabbed this tie front belt from Dynamite (Love!) and I wrapped it around the coat ensuring that the sides of the coat met up in the front. Belting your coat adds an extra bit of oomph to your outfit. It’s a really simple way to add some visual interest to your coats without sacrificing some major bucks. Once you start belting your coats, you’re not going to want to stop!
