Courage, it can be hard to find sometimes but having courage can help you get what you want. How? Simple. (in theory) Having the courage to get rid of what you don’t.
The Courage to Get What You Want
We all have things that we really want in life. The main thing that is holding us back? Fear.
The first step to getting what you want is to figure out what no longer works for you and what you need to let go of.
For me, I’m working on figuring out what kind of career path I want for myself. To do that I’m looking at what I don’t want my future to look like.
With my health concerns, going forward I know that I don’t want something with a rigid schedule. Something that won’t allow for flexibility on the days when I am not feeling well. I don’t want too much stress or pressure.
Going off of what I don’t want, I now need to figure out what I DO want. I also need to courage to let go of the safety and security that comes with most 9-5 jobs and go for what I do want.
Part of that is starting my own business. It’s a little scary even writing that down!!
I want to be able to decide my own hours. To work as much or as little as I want.
Having the Courage to start something new
So, I’m in the process of (slowly) starting my own Mindfulness Meditation Company.
I have my business name all picked out and registered and I’ve purchased my domain name. Now I just need to create the content… No big deal right!! lol
Launching soon(ish) will be The Mindfulness Journey where I will be teaching others all about mindfulness, leading meditations and teaching the 8week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction curriculum. As of September 1st, 2016 I have completed all of my training and I am now a qualified MBSR teacher! Yay!!
Mindfulness is a huge part of my life, and it is something that I believe in and have seen the positive effects of. That’s why there will be the opportunity here at The Frugal Fashionista for you to learn more if you are interested.
Mindfulness email challenges and guided meditations will be available to my subscribers. If this sounds like something that you are interested in click below to sign up.
[emaillocker id=5071][/emaillocker]I’m looking forward to this new journey. I hope that you join me on the path to mindfulness

Congrats and good luck; you can do it!
How exciting! I am sure you will do great things! xo
This is so true! It takes courage to discard the unwanted and go for a change. Mindfulness coaching is a dire need of the day. We are so trapped in our routine, that we forget to stop, pause and just be. Love this.
being aware of yourself and your body and its tenancies is so important!

For me letting go has been harder than starting something new. I just recently discovered I had issues with letting go.
I can empathize with needing courage too and will be supporting you on your Mindfulness journey! I feel like that’s been a major concern for me recently, not wanting to just let life pass by without anything meaningful or not being present. Thank you for the reminder!
I agree that having courage is essential.
