Time to head out on our mother/daughter road trip! #ButFirstCoffee
We hit up Tim Hortons to grab a coffee for the road. I had a chocolate dream latte which is basically like drinking chocolate coffee – so, delicious. Once we had our fuel, it was time to hit the road!
Erie is about a four hour drive from Toronto. Not too bad, and luckily since we were going during the middle of the week there wasn’t too much traffic. We made it down in great time. First stop was checking into our hotel The Econo Lodge. When I travel, I like to pick a hotel that offers a continental breakfast and one that I know I will get a great stay for the price I pay. Econo Lodge hits all of my requirements. The room is mainly just for crashing in, so I don’t need all the bells and whistles. Econo Lodge is a great price and it’s a nice clean hotel with free breakfast – which is always a plus.
After settling in we decided to get a late lunch/early dinner. We hit up a place we had been to before called Cheddar’s. It’s a family friendly restaurant which serves a good meal at a great price. I ordered the salmon and my mom had the steak. I gave her a piece of my salmon and she gave me a piece of her steak.
Now that our bellies had been satisfied, it was time to hit up the shops! We started at Burlington Coat factory. We love this store! They have so many good pieces at great prices! I managed to pick up a couple of shirts as well as some fantastic shoes! I scored a pair of coach flats for $40US and a pair of peep-toe booties from Steve Madden.
When you go to a store like Burlington, you need to leave yourself plenty of time. There are a ton of racks that you will need to sort through, plus the time needed to try things on and to make your selections.
After Burlington, we went into a few other stores in the same plaza and then we thought it was time to call it a night. We headed back to our hotel to rest up for the mall and Day 2!
Thank for reading!
So fun!
God bless,
