Happy November!! I am very protective of my skin. I have oily, acne-prone skin that is also very sensitive. I have tried several different varieties of face washes and cleansers over the years that would result in my skin having a reaction. There is nothing worse than getting acne from a product that is supposed to help treat your acne! One product that is heavily endorsed by lots of people (I’m sure you can figure out which one) resulted in the worst outbreak I have ever had! It left so many scars on my face – it was terrible.
Then I discovered the Vichy Normaderm line. It is gentle and effective and has really worked well over the years to help manage my skin. After my accident, my skin went through another change. It become EXTRA sensitive, so I really need to baby it now. Luckily for me, the Normaderm line is gentle enough for me to use every day. The changes in my skin sensitivity also resulted in some more scars along my mouth and chin. Then I discovered two products that have really upped my skincare routine.
The Normaderm Hyaluspot is a targeted anti-imperfection treatment and it works to reduce the appearance of acne imperfections and marks. You apply it directly onto the imperfections either on cleansed skin or on top of your moisturizer. Make sure it has dried before putting makeup on top – it only takes a few minutes. Since I started using it, I have seen a HUGE improvement in the marks and imperfections I have. The redness has faded and the scars are a lot less noticeable now.
The second product is the new Normaderm BB Clear in light. I’ve tried a few BB creams over the years and I have to say that this one is one of my favourites! It goes on smoothly and conceals pimples while at the same time letting your skin breathe. It’s also the perfect shade for my skin tone, I often find that BB creams are either too dark or too orangey against my skin. I hate having too much foundation on, and what I like about this is that it covers your imperfections, while still looking like you have no makeup on. It has salicylic acid in it so it also works to treat your skin. I found that it was mattifying and non-greasy which is perfect for my skin type. I’ve been using it for about a month and I have received so many compliments on the look of my skin!
