I was asked to test out this plugin and to provide a fair and honest review. I was not compensated for this post and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I guess you could say that I have an organized soul. Just take a peek into my closet and you will see that everything is categorized. Dresses are organized by type and style, same thing with my shirts and pants. I even organize my scrapbooking cardstock by colour! (ROYGBIV!!)
I also like to find ways to plan and organize my life to keep it running smoothly and lately this has extended to my blog.
Through one of my Facebook groups for bloggers, I came across this new plugin the Oasis Workflow and I was excited to get a chance to test it out for my readers! Who wouldn’t want a simplified way to organize their workflow??
Oasis Workflow: An Editorial Workflow Plugin
The Oasis Workflow plugin allows you to automate your editorial workflow processes using a super simple and intuitive graphical user interface (GUI).
There are 3 templates:
Assignment: represents content generation tasks
Review: Content review tasks
Publish: the task of actually publishing
Using an easy drag and drop interface you can configure your workflow to suit your needs. If you are working as part of a team you can easily assign roles and tasks. Users can then check their inboxes to view their assignments and check them off when they are completed. So easy!! There is even a feature to reassign a task if needed making sure that nothing gets missed along the way!
You can also send out due date and email reminders all from the workflow – a great way to stick to your deadline and make sure that your articles are published on time.
I’ve been really busy lately with all of my travelling so I was interested in finding a way to organize my blog’s editorial process. In order to give a fair and honest review of this plugin, I wanted to make sure that I had the time to spend testing it out to make sure that it would work for me and my readers. With a few weeks home before my next trip, I figured this was the perfect time to test it out.
Review
I’m not the most techy person out there so I appreciated how easy to use this workflow is! It comes with a sample workflow that you can edit and adjust which means you can get started as soon as you activate the plugin.
The Oasis Workflow would work best for anyone who is assigning tasks to members of a team since it is a quick and easy way for everyone to stay organized and on top of what they are expected to be working on.
How do you organize your editorial workflow? Would you consider using a plugin like this? Let me know in the comments below.
