I hope that everyone had a great Christmas holiday!! I think that this is the first year that we didn’t have any snow for Christmas. The weather here in Toronto had been really mild but the nice weather unfortunately can’t last forever – they are calling for freezing rain and lots of snow over the next few days 🙁
This year for Christmas dinner we had a new special guest – my niece Tegan! She was born on October 4th so she is a little too young to understand Christmas and what is happening. Not that that stopped us from spoiling her like crazy!! Tegan is the first child of my sister and her husband. They got married last year before Christmas so they have had a big year! I also have a niece and nephew from my brother and sister-in-law who are 12 and 10 this year and they are so excited to have a little cousin around this Christmas. Especially because right now she is too young to join in on the stuffing and cheesecake!! I love getting to spend time with my nieces and nephew during the holidays!
Since it was Tegan’s first Christmas, I went a little over board with her presents. Everything is so cute for babies that its hard to resist! I went to the Disney store and I ordered her a few different pieces that would be gifts from my parents and I. I picked up a Minnie Mouse outfit, complete with ears, that I had personalized with her name. I also got her a small stuffed Minnie that says Baby’s First Christmas. In her room she has some items with Sophia the First on it and since my mom was giving her a small chair with Sophia on it, I also picked up a matching fleece blanket that was also personalized. Disney had a holiday promotion where you could get a stuffed 2015 Mickey or Minnie Mouse doll, so of course I picked that up as well 😉
How cute does she look in her little outfit!! My brother and sister-in-law picked up this oversize stuffed Care Bear for her. My niece and nephew had some when they were her age so it’s nice that the tradition is maintained for Tegan. They also got her the little sneakers, I love shoes for babies!! They are the cutest things ever!!
One of the coolest things I got for Tegan was a book from Lost My Name. These books are so great! It’s a personalized story for a little boy or girl. I wish that they had these around when my niece and nephew were younger so I could have picked one up for them.
The book is so cute and it is very well made. It’s about a little girl (or boy) who wakes up and finds that her name is gone. She heads out on an adventure where she meets different characters who all help her out by giving her a letter from their name. When she has collected all the letter she needs she goes back home. I love reading and I know that my sister and her husband are eager to read lots of books to Tegan so I thought this gift was perfect. They were so excited when they saw it – my sister may have teared up a little 🙂
As for myself, I did pretty good this year 😉 I can’t wait to put together some new outfit posts incorporating some of my new items!
Thanks for stopping by!
