One Item, 2 Ways

Happy Tuesday!! Today, I am sharing another look at this jumpsuit that I wore the other day. I never thought that I would ever board the jumpsuit train but I have. It all started in the summer, I picked up one romper and that was it. Next thing I knew, I was buying more rompers, and now a jumpsuit!! My body is pear shaped, and I have always thought that I couldn’t wear a jumpsuit on my body type, but I was wrong. This one from M for Mendocino is so flattering and comfortable that I knew I had to style it on here two different ways to show how versatile it can be.

Jumpsuit: M for Mendocino; Blazer: Winners, Clutch: Talbots; Shoes: Sole Society

This first look, is how I wore it out to dinner with one of my good friends. Nothing like a girl’s night out 😉 Since my outfit was all black, I added a pop of colour with the burgundy heels, and some print with this leopard clutch (love!).

For look number two, I decided to go a bit more casual. I paired the jumper with some stacked heel booties, an over-sized boyfriend cardigan and a beanie. This look is perfect for just hanging out with your friends, running errands or going shopping.

Wearing this jumpsuit was an attempt at getting out of my comfort zone. I’m trying to break the fashion rules that I have placed on myself and try new things. Sometimes they will be more successful than others. This was definitely one of those times.

Fashion is about experimentation while also staying true to your self. I know what I like, but I am starting to get more comfortable with trying new things. Baby steps. While I may have initially been unsure about embracing this trend, I am now so glad that I have! Better late than never, right? 🙂
