Wearing Summer Prints Into Fall

Today I am going to talk about how to wear your summer prints into the fall season. I picked up these pieces at my local Winners from their summer clearance section. This top, is really a halter neck tunic, with a beautiful tropical print on it.

The skirt is pleated, and it has a palm tree print all over it. Nothing says warm weather like palm trees! This print was huge this summer, and I am not ready to give it up just yet.

I decided to pair these two pieces together to create a fun printed look. I am really loving mixing prints these days! The green in the top paired up nicely with the green in the skirt to make the look more cohesive.

To make it more fall friendly, I added a pair of tights, a faux leather blazer and a pair of riding boots. All items were purchased at one point from Winners. The thing that I love about Winners, is that you can get so many pieces for a reasonable price. This entire look was less than $120 CDN

Plus, these pieces can be worn many different ways. I wore them here together, but they can also be worn on their own. I have already worn this blazer in my other post with the jumpsuit. This skirt can also be worn with a sweater and booties for another look. The top can be worn, layered over a long sleeve tee and leggings for another great look.

These days I am working on pairing the items in my closet in a new and different way. This way I can breathe new life into my closet. When I am looking at buying something new, I always make sure that it can work with the existing pieces in my closet. I’ve already planned out several different outfits in my head using these pieces.
