Black Friday & Cyber Monday

I don’t know about you, but I for sure treated myself this Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend!! I managed to get all of my Christmas shopping done, plus (of course) a few things for me. 😉 I had been wanting to get a DSLR camera for awhile but I was waiting until I could find one for a great price. Luckily for me Best Buy Canada was having them on sale for Black Friday. It was a bundle so you not only got the Nikon D3300 camera but 2 lenses and a camera bag and the price was amazing!! There was no way that I could pass it up! The sale started at 12:01 am on Friday so I stayed up late to try to get this camera.

Of course I wasn’t the only one waiting for the sale to start. As soon as the clock struck 12:01, the Best Buy website crashed from all the people trying to buy stuff! When you could finally get in and find the item you wanted, you couldn’t add it to your cart. Crashed again. Then you couldn’t checkout, such a mess!! I eventually gave up around 1am and went to sleep. When I woke up in the morning I checked and the camera was still there!! Checked out in less than 5 minutes.

I’ve always loved taking pictures. I’m a scrapbooker so I take my camera with my everywhere. Now that I am a blogger, I thought it was time to invest in a better camera. My camera skills are not the greatest, so in January I am signing up for some photography workshops. I’m going to learn all about using my new camera as well as how to take product shots (as you can see, I’m not the greatest at this!). I think that this will be a fun experience and it will be SO helpful for my blog!
