Mixing Prints for beginners – part 3

To view the other posts in this series click here and here. It’s funny, it wasn’t that long ago that I never mixed prints and now I do it all the time! In this outfit post, I kicked it up a notch and I added a third print.

I started with this black and white polka dot sleeveless blouse that I picked up a while back.

This print acts as a neutral in this outfit and grounds the look from being too overwhelming.

I then added this floral skirt. I love florals! I also love that there are so many bright colours in this skirt. Mixing prints and colours are two things that I have recently added into my wardrobe.

If you follow me on Instagram you know that I have been participating in some #stylechallenges and for this outfit it called for something from Kate Spade. As I was planning this outfit, I immediately decided to use this striped bag.

It also added in a third print which I really thinks added some impact to this look.

When adding a print in, you should tie it into one of the colours from your outfit. The pink stripe on the bag matches up nicely with the pink on the floral skirt.

Thanks for reading!!
