The Perfect Date Night Romper

Happy Friday!! It’s Family Day long weekend here in Toronto! Plus I have today off, so it’s a 4 day weekend for me!!! Whoo Hoo!! I am so looking forward to spending time getting stuff done. What are your plans for the weekend?

I have a pretty big paper to write this weekend for my Masters 🙁 but before I get into that I wanted to share with you this super cute romper. It really is the perfect date night romper.

Romper: Dynamite (sold out online, similar)

These pictures were taken a few months back at a networking event I attended with my blogger friend Kamila. Hosted by Media Nexus, they had lights set up inside for all of us bloggers to snap some pictures. Something that is always appreciated on these cold winter nights!!

This is the perfect date night romper for several reasons. The black lace overlay gives you outfit a bit of a sexy vibe. There is just something about black lace over a beige lining that suggests candlelight, wine and nights out on the town. Plus lace is just so pretty!

The length of this romper is just right. I always size up when buying a romper to make sure that I get full coverage. Otherwise when you bend over, your cheeks are on display. Not cute.

Since it’s winter and absolutely freezing here I layered this bad boy with some of my winter date night essentials:

  1. Booties
  2. Leather blazer
  3. Black tights

Every year I pick up a few more pairs of black tights. I like a good thick pair of fleece lined tights because they give you that extra bit of protection from the freezing cold wind. Mine I picked up at Giant Tiger for less than $10 so I usually grab a few.

Booties in the winter are definitely my go to shoe. A pair with a block heel will give you some extra support when walking along the icy sidewalks. The last thing you want or need is to twist/sprain an ankle!! This is especially a risk after some wine!

This black faux leather blazer is something from my closet that definitely gets a lot of repeat. It’s was a find from Winners so the price was definitely right. Plus with all the times I’ve worn the cost per wear is basically a penny at this point.

What are some of your winter date night essentials? Let me know in the comments below
