It’s officially summer!! My favourite time of the year! Summer to me always meant vacation time spent relaxing, reading and travelling. This summer I might not get much relaxing done but there will definitely be some travelling!! In fact next week I will be away on another silent retreat which means that there will be a break from the blog with no new posts going up. A great time for any new visitors to take a peek at the archives and catch up on what you might have missed! š
must have for Summer – culottes romper
I picked up this culottes romper from Dynamite and it is one of my favourite pieces!! (Seen here and here) Rompers and culottes are huge trends for summer so of course a piece that combines the two would be considered a must have!!
The deep V-neck in the front and back lets you show off a little bit of skin while still keeping things classy. This culottes romper zips up in the back so the deep v-neck makes it easier to reach the zipper š The last thing you want when it is time to hit the ladies is to be struggling with a zipper, am I right ladies??
For this look I decided to play off of the colours of the stripes on my new Kate Spade bag that I scored at the outlet mall during my recent girls weekend away. I told you it would be showing up here on the blog š I picked up these Nine West sandals (my colour sold out online similar) at RW & Co and they are as comfortable as they are cute!! I love the pink and beige colour combination. They are the perfect neutral show with a pop of colour so they will go with anything! To pick up the colours from the bag and shoes, I swapped out the black belt that comes with the culottes romper for this pink Kate Spade belt that I found in the clearance section at Winners. #score I love the romper with the black belt but sometimes you need to switch things up a little by adding a few pops of colour here and there to your look.
I’ve already worn this culottes romper several times this year and I don’t see that stopping anytime soon. I even wore it on my recent mindfulness retreat – and received several compliments on how cute it is!
Rompers are such a fun and simple style choice for a night out and the culottes style makes it super comfortable as well as being tres chic!! Adding a culottes romper to your closet this summer would be a great addition and something that you can wear again and again.
