Friday’s Fab Finds – BareMinerals Foundation

I’m always on the lookout for the perfect foundation for my sensitive/acne prone skin. When I went to Erie, PA with my mom in April, (click here and here to read all about it) I went into the Sephora inside the Millcreek Mall. I was interested in trying out something from BareMinerals because I had never used anything of theirs before but had heard a lot of good things.  image

The staff at Sephora were so helpful! I received assistance from a Beauty Adviser who talked to me about what I was after and helped to guide me in my choice. I have oily skin, so I obviously didn’t want anything that would make that worse. As I mentioned, my skin is very sensitive and a lot of the time makeup causes me to break out. Also, I’m really pale, so I need to find a shade that works for me. Oftentimes products are too orangey or dark against my skin tone. This time however, I was assisted with finding the perfect shade. She even compared several shades before choosing the one that matched the best. If you are looking for a new foundation, I definitely recommend heading to your nearest Sephora and getting a Beauty Adviser to assist you in your search.

I ended up going with Clearly Porcelain 01 which is the lightest shade they have! And it’s perfect! Not only does it blend in seamlessly, it doesn’t make my skin extra oily or cause it to break out. It’s made with tea tree oil and aspen bark to treat acne. It also reduces the appearance of redness, oil and shine. I apply it in the morning and I am good to go for the day. I will often touch it up in the evenings if I am going out again just so that my makeup is fresh. I only have one problem – I haven’t been able to find it in a store here or online anywhere except the UK! Hopefully I don’t run out anytime soon! I’ll probably head back to Erie sometime in the new year and hopefully they still have it so that I can stock up!
