When I went to Chicago to attend the Simply Stylist blog conference, I stayed at the Dana hotel. This is where the conference was being held and since I was only in town for the weekend it just made sense. Let me just say: totally worth it!!
The Dana Hotel
This hotel was AMAZING!! It is for sure a little pricey but with all of the sweet amenities you definitely get your money’s worth.
First, let’s take a little look at the room:
Now, the fact that with the interior curtain open you can see straight through the bathroom to the view outside was for sure a little weird. Maybe some people like to look outside while they shower or pee? Who am I to judge?
They had a docking station with speaker so you could play some tunes
They have candy and other snacks you can purchase. Of course coffee is also available.
Plus they provide a yoga mat which was helpful for my workouts
and an umbrella!! Too bad I didn’t take it with me my first night sightseeing. 🙁 I actually had several hours between checkout and my flight so I was able to do some more sightseeing. Of course it was raining. again. Lucky for me the hotel lent me one of theirs even though I had checked out and technically was no longer a guest!! Great customer service!!
Hotel amenities
In addition to all the amazing stuff in the room, there are some other pretty cool features.
Of course, there is a spa, I mean it is in the name. There is also a roof-top location, Vertigo Sky Lounge, which was where the conference was held. Check out this view?!?
Downstairs there is Freestyle Food and Drink a restaurant and lounge. A 24 hour gym. (I’m sure it’s great but I didn’t have time to see it) With shopping, sightseeing and attending a conference I skipped the amenities. Next time.

Southern Elle Style
Since I live in the Chicago the annual style events are a must do each year, but I’ve never stayed at the Dana Hotel since I only live a train ride away. Thanks for the sneak peek inside the room.
